I spent 14 days in Peru and had an amazing time. I traveled with a group of strangers—three couples—but everything was so well organized that it didn’t feel awkward at all. I booked all my tours through PeruVisit, and they did an excellent job. I finally got to fulfill my dream of seeing Machu Picchu, and I also learned so much about pre-Inca civilizations. The Raqchi Temple was especially impressive, and the tour of Ollantaytambo was incredibly informative.
I visited the Uros Islands and the Sillustani Chullpas, which were both fascinating. The Colca Canyon tour was absolutely stunning—one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
I also want to mention my guide, Illich Cristian Vera, who was professional, friendly, and made the entire trip run smoothly.
Would I recommend PeruVisit to my friends? Definitely! I’ll be recommending them to all my friends.

Hi everyone checking out the PeruVisit website!
I just want to say a huge thank you for making my dream of visiting Peru come true. I traveled from March 29 to April 9, 2019. My friend and I shared the same travel interests, and we set off on an exciting and unforgettable adventure through Peru.
Every day was unique and full of new experiences—Lima, Cusco, Puno, and Arequipa are all so different, and the way the landscapes, plants, and animals changed every day was just amazing! Peru really has it all: jungles, mountains, volcanoes, deserts—there’s something for everyone.
The tour was so well-organized, from the moment we were picked up at the airport to the awesome guides who were so passionate about their work. The food was amazing, and the hotels were great. Peru definitely deserves its title as the food capital of South America!
Machu Picchu, of course, was absolutely incredible—so many mysteries and hidden secrets. You just can’t miss it. And Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Moray, Maras, Ollantaytambo, and Sacsayhuaman are all must-sees that you really have to experience for yourself. I was also blown away by the La Raya Pass when we traveled from Cusco to Puno, the Colca Canyon in Chivay, and the Patapampa Pass at 4,900 meters!
And let’s talk about the llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos—they are so cute, it made me feel like a kid again being around them.
Would I recommend PeruVisit to my friends? Absolutely, I’ve already been telling everyone they should book with them!

We traveled as a couple for two weeks. The trip was packed with activities and impressions—each day felt better than the last! It was all really fascinating and educational, with every excursion being different (nature, history), but all of them were incredible in their own way. Personally, the highlights for me were Machu Picchu and the jungle adventure, though everything was just so exciting. Cusco turned out to be much more interesting than I expected; the hike to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) was tough, but the views were totally worth it. Machu Picchu? Absolutely a must-see, no words can do it justice! The Amazon and the jungle felt like a real adventure—wild nature and amazing animals everywhere. Swimming with sea lions was awesome—they come so close, diving right next to you. It was just pure joy! And the mystical Nazca Lines? They’re definitely worth seeing at least once, although I’m not sure the long drive was worth it for just a 30-minute flight. Still, seeing them in person is a unique experience.
Would I recommend PeruVisit to friends? Absolutely, and I already have!

I recently visited Peru, and this country has always fascinated me because, in such a small area, you can experience such diverse climates and landscapes. I’ve always dreamed of visiting the Amazon River, and the fact that the Andes are right there, along with the history of one of the largest civilizations in the New World, made Peru the perfect destination. My plan was to explore the mountains, do some hiking, and, of course, visit Machu Picchu. But honestly, the highlight for me wasn’t Machu Picchu itself—it was the four-day hike to get there! The whole trek was breathtaking. One of the most unforgettable moments was crossing a high pass (I don’t remember the name) where the snowy peaks suddenly gave way to jungle slopes, with clouds literally at our level—it felt like I could reach out and touch them. Truly magical! I had hoped to photograph the Milky Way since I heard the views from the mountains are some of the best, but unfortunately, the full moon was too bright.
After the trek, I spent a few days in Cusco and took part in an Ayahuasca ceremony with real shamans. It was my first time, and the experience was intense but very rewarding. Both the shaman and I were happy with the vision—it even gave me an idea for a tattoo. It’s an experience I’ll never forget!
Next, I finally fulfilled my childhood dream of exploring the jungle. I was really excited to see the incredible variety of plants and animals—pine trees and birch trees back home have nothing on the Amazon! I didn’t get to see a jaguar, but I did see pink river dolphins, tarantulas, piranhas, hummingbirds, and so many other creatures. There’s so much to see in the jungle beyond just the big trees and vines. And to my surprise, I finally managed to photograph the Milky Way! I didn’t expect to get such a great view in the jungle, but it was incredible, and the palm trees in the foreground made the photo even better.
My trip ended in Lima, Peru’s capital. I ended up staying longer than planned because of the COVID situation, but it didn’t feel like a problem. Lima is a fascinating city, especially its historic center. Just be careful to avoid certain poorer neighborhoods—I wandered into some by mistake, and kind locals kept advising me to leave! But overall, the city felt safe. I also made a local friend from Lima during my trek, and he gave me a personal tour of the city one day, which was great. Since Lima is on the Pacific coast, I also gave surfing a try for the first time. The waves were perfect, and after a few attempts, I actually managed to ride one! It was such a great feeling.
In short, this was an incredible trip.
Would I recommend PeruVisit to friends? Absolutely! A huge thanks to the PeruVisit team for organizing all my activities (except the surfing and hanging out with my new Peruvian friend). They were always available to answer my questions and stayed in touch throughout the trip.
I’m hoping to return once the COVID restrictions ease up and visit all the places I didn’t get to see this time around.
